When Phil Bannatyne opened Cambridge Brewing Company in 1989, there were no other brew-pubs in Boston or Cambridge and very few in the country (at least compared to today). Bannatyne set up shop in a refurbished mill, where he and, brewmaster, Will Meyers have been making their beers ever since. Their recipes combine the best elements of historic styles, European yeast and malts, and American hops and spices.

In a converted ranch outside of Austin, Texas, two brothers founded Jester King Craft Brewing in the fall of 2010. Since then, the brewery has been whole-heartedly taking on the project of transforming Texan beer culture and policy alike. Using recycled rainwater and as many local and organic ingredients as possible, Jester King revives traditional farmhouse styles with a light Texan touch.

Sometimes the path you think is best isn't the one that makes you happy. Cue Glenn and Chris from River Horse Brewing Company in Lambertville, NJ. This was no Office Space-esque situation. In fact, the guys were doing quite well in their finance jobs, yet still feeling like they were going nowhere.So, what's nature's remedy for capping off a long day, regardless of profession? A nice, cold beer. One day, the two businessmen decided to capitalize on their favorite thing and their chosen profession by taking over the River Horse brewery in 2007, and they haven't looked back. Who says you can't combine the thing you love with the thing you're good at? Plus, it's some pretty good beer.
