Answering a call put out by San Antonio's Weathered Souls Brewing, Black Is Beautiful is the collaborative effort of hundreds of craft breweries to spotlight the absolutely intolerable racism faced by people of color in America and raise donations for causes dedicated to supporting equality and inclusion.
Brooklyn Brew shop will donate half of total sales from this kit ($25) and mix ($9) directly to Color of Change.
Committed to advancing civil rights in America, Color of Change is a remarkable organization powered by those who work to end racism and injustice.

The Beer
This beer is designed to highlight the many beautiful shades of black. Black is Beautiful is being brewed by more than 500 craft breweries around the world, each with its own unique approach to this recipe with the one unifying goal of ending racism and intolerance.
Black Is Beautiful is an intensely rich imperial stout. With the addition of flaked oats, it's boozy but smooth. It's quite dark, and it's very delicious.

About The Brewery
Weathered Souls Brewing is an independently-owned craft brewery in the heart of San Antonio, Texas. Co-founder and head brewer Marcus Baskerville started his brewing career by making beer at home in his garage (where we're glad to say you would have found one of our kits). Weathered Souls makes great beer and remains a must-visit brewery for any trip to San Antonio. As part of Black Is Beautiful, they are donating proceeds to Know Your Rights Camp.
