Tired Hands Brewing Company is just two years old and has already established a cult following among beer lovers who flock to the town of Ardmore, Pennsylvania to visit the brewpub. Brewer Jean Broillet IV created his first saisons in his parent's garage and is now producing simple, yet interesting, small-batch beers, using the finest quality, unique and local ingredients at Tired Hands.
Briollet's beers take inspiration from both the farmhouse beers of Belgium & France and the experimental and unique craft beers of America. Brews are usually only made 12 kegs at a time, so customers will always find new beers to try at the brewpub along with their year-round offerings. Although most beers from Tired Hands fall under the Saison and IPA categories, they also dabble in barrel aged beers, including sours, stouts and barlywines. These special beers are typically bottled in limited numbers and released to the public. For today's tasting we sampled a few growlers from the taproom.

One of Tired Hands' flagship beers, this four-grain saison is brewed with rye, oats, wheat and Cascade hops. It pours with a grainy, straw colored body and has notes of zesty lemon, spice and barnyard funkiness on the nose. Tasting freshly of lemon and grain, this brew finishes with a well balanced and dry hop bite.
5.7% ABV
This brand new saison is crafted with wheat, Meyer lemons, and pink peppercorns. Pouring incredibly golden bright with a slight haze, it's almost like sipping on sunshine. Amazingly light and crisp on the palate, this marriage of zest and spice provide a brew with great drinkability on these last days of hot sun.
8.40% ABV
This Double IPA, brewed with oats and Simcoe, Citra, Centennial, and Columbus hops, explodes with tropical hop notes of mango and melon on the nose. This joyful brew continues to please the palate with a smooth, medium body and strong flavors of citrus fruit and earthy pine. Definitely a great brew for hopheads.
