5 Easy, Beer-Based Super Bowl Snacks

Updated on March 23, 2015

Having an impromptu Super Bowl party can lead to a bunch of people hovering over one lonely bowl of chips, desperately trying to soak up the zillion beers they'd been consuming since kickoff. Why not make a few easy, filling hors d'oeuvres that are sure to tame the wildest of game-time beasts?

We've selected a few of our biggest beer-based hits that won't take long to make and are sure to keep you and your guests happy during the big game.

  1. BEER CHEESE PUFFS

Light, crispy and savory, you might want to double (or triple!) the batch for hungry guests.
  2. VEGETARIAN BEER CHILI

Having meat-free guests? Pick up some festive, disposable bowls (why skip the halftime show to wash dishes?) and make a big pot of this simple chili. Even your carnivorous friends won't be able to tell it's veg.
  3. TERIYAKI PORTER DRUMSTICKS

If you understand nothing, understand this: There Is No Super Bowl Party Without Wings. They're portable, lightweight, and easy to munch on while simultaneously shaking them at the TV when the opposing team scores. Shaking celery at the TV simply doesn't have the same effect.
  4. MICHELADAS

The classic cooler full of beer is fine, but why not spice things up with a pitcher of michelada? They're great with snacks and perfect for That Guy Who Brought That Friend Who Only Wants Cocktails And Nothing To Do With Football.
  5. CHICKEN, GOAT CHEESE & BEER PIZZA

If you don't have spent grain pizza dough already waiting in your freezer for a time like this, no worries - just pick up some ready-made stuff from the store, bake it before the guests arrive, and then all you have to do is heat it in the oven and cut it into handy squares.
